Rescue Means Taking Them As They Come ❤️🐾

When you hear the word rescue, it’s easy to picture adorable kittens, happy adoption photos, and cats finally getting the love they deserve.

But there is another side of rescue that people don’t always see.

Rescues are often filled with animals who have been abandoned, lost, neglected, sick, injured, or simply unwanted. They don’t arrive with a medical history and everything already taken care of. They arrive needing us.

And right now, Mama Spice Rescue desperately needs help.

We have cats who are FIV positive. We are dealing with ringworm. We have kittens and adults who still need vaccines, boosters, spays and neuters, testing, medications, and continued veterinary care. With ringworm also comes an incredible amount of cleaning, disinfecting, laundry, gloves, and supplies needed to keep it from spreading.

When I tell you that the Spices need donations, I promise I’m not exaggerating.

Every cat we take in becomes our responsibility. We don’t get to choose whether the next cat needs a simple vaccine or weeks of treatment. We take them as they come, and we do everything we can to give them the healthy, happy life they deserve.

We have been incredibly blessed with food donations. We are so thankful for everyone who stepped up and made sure those needs were met. ❤️

Now, our biggest need is help covering the medical side of rescue. Even $5 toward a vaccine, medication, test, spay or neuter adds up when people come together.

These cats may have been abandoned or forgotten before they reached us, but once they become a Spice, they are not forgotten anymore.
